💡3fficient Thinking💡

During our Week 4 meeting, we had guest speakers from 3fficient. 3fficient works with companies to rethink their energy usage and find ways to be more efficient. When you first think of using energy efficiently or reducing energy consumption, most people may think of the typical solar panels or turning off lights more frequently. 3fficient is more innovative and creative than that.

They shared with us their previous projects inspired by biomimicry, including park installations shaped like giant flowers. These plowers had solar panel "leaves" and wind propeller "petals." They also talked about installing skylights that redirect sunlight with fiber optics to use in place of artificial lighting.
