Airborne Wind Energy
The Airborne Wind Energy System (AWES) seeks to create a method of harnessing energy from wind. The aim is to be cheaper, easier to produce, easier to utilize, and more efficient.
The airborne aspect of these systems can ultimately allow it to be hoisted up to use wind from the jet streams, which are fast flowing air currents in the earth's atmosphere, resulting in greater and more consistent energy. The goal of this project is to research the existing concepts of AWES to develop a new model that can be used as a dependable tool to generate electricity.
