ENGINEERS FOR A SUSTAINABLE WORLD 

Sponsored by a grant from Pepsi, ESW has partnered with UCI Dining and Hospitality to implement Digital Waste Bins, modeled after a Digital Waste Bin project at the University of Washington. ESW's Digital Waste Bins Project features three screens over corresponding bins that regularly cycle through pictures of items that are recyclable, compostable, or trash. The screen also updates with your environmental impact when waste is thrown into one of the bins.
